The 25th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), which concluded in Shenzhen on Nov 19, attracted some 248,000 visitors, exceeding that of the previous session. 

 

It also generated a cumulative trade transaction amount of 37.28 billion yuan ($5.19 billion).

 

This year's event welcomed more than 4,000 exhibitors from 105 countries and regions, a record high. A total of 1,410 high-tech enterprises; 598 specialized, elaborative, characteristic and innovative enterprises; 63 central enterprises; 229 listed companies; and 183 foreign-invested companies showcased their latest products and technologies at the event.

Nine countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, including Hungary, Kenya, Russia and Serbia, established national pavilions at this year's event. 

 

Majid Najafiani, head of the Iran Pavilion, has participated in the CHTF six times. This year, Majid brought 10 Iranian enterprises to the event. "Previously, one of our companies received an investment of $4 million at the CHTF and successfully landed in China. So we come here, not to conduct one-off sales, but to find long-term partners," said Majid.

 

"The CHTF is one of the best platforms for sci-tech exchanges and exhibitions. We selected seven companies and brought products like light sports aircrafts and electric roadsters to this year's event," said Előd Tasnády, deputy consul general of Hungary in Guangzhou.

A total of 132 key activities were held during this year's CHTF, while 681 new products and achievements debuted, including the listing of meteorological data on the Shenzhen Data Exchange and the release of the global urban industry innovation index report.

 

Twenty-six universities and over 70 central enterprises took part in the CHTF's forums, meetings and salons.
